An Educational Partnership with a Conservation Vision
Ponderosa Costa Rica continues to strengthen its commitment to sustainability by hosting students from the Wildlife Management Bachelor's Program at the National University of Costa Rica (UNA). This visit was part of the park’s environmental education program, a core pillar of its mission.
Key Topics Covered During the Educational Session
During the hands-on class, led by Professor Alexander Gómez Lépiz, students explored essential topics for professional training in conservation. Some of the main subjects included environmental law, animal welfare, and wildlife handling techniques.
Participants also had the chance to learn about Ponderosa Costa Rica’s working model and the best practices it applies in caring for both animals and their natural habitats. Ponderosa Costa Rica, así como las buenas prácticas aplicadas en el cuidado de las especies y el entorno natural.
A Commitment to Training Future Conservationists
The collaboration with students from UNA’s Wildlife Management program reflects a shared goal: building a future that is more conscious and responsible when it comes to biodiversity.
For Ponderosa Costa Rica, every academic visit is a valuable opportunity to share knowledge, raise awareness, and support the technical and ethical training of those who will lead environmental conservation efforts in the country.
Education as a Driving Force for Conservation
